There are so many things to think about as you plan your baby’s baptism or baby blessing ceremony. Many parents will throw a baptism party for their baby after the ceremony and with that comes the need for baptism favors. In today’s article we discuss potential ideas for party favors for this type of event.
Doves – a very popular theme that many parents opt to go with is doves. Doves symbolize purity and peace. You can find dove shaped candy wrappers, soaps, and dove shaped candles that can be given to guests as gifts for attending the baby christening.
Angels – angels are very popular among parents as well since they symbolize goodness, divinity and light. They hold religious significance and are often portrayed as babies with halos and wings. Many will buy angel themed candles, personalized candy wrappers, as well as include angels on the invitation to the baby christening or naming ceremony.
Bible – Perhaps the most obvious of the baptism favors is the bible. Most bible themed favors are drawn as a brown, white, or black book with a holy cross on it.

There are bookmarks with crosses, angels, and doves displayed on them. You can also customize bookmarks to include your baby’s photo on it along with a favorite bible verse.
Photo Magnets – photo magnets are also another popular favor because they can display forever on guests refrigerators, and they can also be used as a save-the-date for the occasion. These magnets don’t have to include a photo, but typically include information such as the baby’s name and the time, date and the location of the baptism.
Photo key rings – photo key rings are also popular because they too serve as a constant reminder of the special day.
Baptism and christening ceremonies are important events that celebrate the beginning of a child’s spiritual life. Many parents opt to provide baptism favors as a courtesy and as thanks to the guests who attend.
